Review of blog, IMPACT – to fight cyber terrorism

After reviewed this blog, IMPACT - to fight cyber terrorism, I have some suggestions as well as comments to give the blogger, Mr. Hen.

First, I want to praise Malaysian Government because of approving RM43 million to set up an international centre to help fight cyber security threats. It is beneficial to all network users for protecting them from attacking of cyber terrorism. Besides that, after reading this blog, it let me know the “impact” not only means influence or effect or crash, it also represents other meaning which is called as International Multinational Partnership Against Cyber Terrorism (IMPACT). Also, the well known names like Symantec Corporation, TrendMicro, F-Secure and Kaperskylab have agreed to be the key partners and serving the advisory board. Those well known names for me is unknown because I never heard about those names, but now I know those companies and they are good for serving the advisory board other than running the business well.

Here, I provide some prevention methods of cyber terrorism are as follows:

1) Installing the firewalls in computer to screen all communications to a system, including e-mail messages.

2) All accounts should have passwords and the passwords should be unusual, difficult to guess.

3) Check with suppliers for upgrades and patches.

4) Audit systems and check logs to help in detecting and tracing an intruder.

5) If you are ever unsure about the safety of a site, or receive suspicious e-mail from an unknown address, do not access it. It could be trouble.

In a nutshell, I also gained additional knowledge about other internet securities other than this blog, cyber terrorism.
